Sd / Hd Collaboration

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently working on a project (sports highlight vid) that I filmed in HD using a Canon Vixia. The issue that I'm having is that one of my teams parents provided me with great clips to add into the production but it's in standard def. If I were to add these SD clips to my HD production would I still be able to export the project as an HD file to upload to You Tube and to burn HD DvDs or would the SD clips screw it all up.

Am I possibly just better of finishing the production with the given Sd and HD clips and then just converting to Standard DvD? What's my best bet?

Yes...

 

You can pour every format in any resolution into VW and output them in one file.

 

Of course 4:3 will have to set to what you prefer but it can't be made into 16:9 which all HD is...

 

(this is taken in Creator 2011 but 2010 is similar only you have to select how to handle the ratio before you import the clip!)

 

And the quality will be output as HD but it will never be better than it was Originally In that sample I used an old VCD clip, 352 X 240 and nothing will ever make it any better

 

You realize it only takes a few memonts to Try this sort of thing out. Make up a test case and give it a try.
