Updating Mac Osx 10.6.7

Question

I am looking for advice on getting Toast 5 titanium to run on a new Mac OSX 10. Having installed the CD it seems impossible to open the program. The icon just bounces although I noticed that the Toast title flashes up for an instant in the title bar then disappears.

Help!

Right. Toast 5 was originally for OS 9 and did not work with OS X. Later Roxio released updated versions of Toast 5 that could run on both OS 9 and X but it needed to first be installed while booted into OS 9. Near the end of Toast 5's life Roxio offered an install disc that worked with OS X as well but I never saw one of those. If you don't want to upgrade to a current version of Toast you may find that Apple's built in disc burning features can meet your needs in OS X.
