No Preview Controls

I too have problems with EMC 10. Coincidentally at the appearance of the sale advert of Roxio 11 in my welcome window,when I opened a completed production, the preview controls did not appear on the preview window. I raised a help ticket but am informed that there is no help for this legacy product!!Without preview controls one cannot edit the production, and the once running well programme is now completely unusable.It has also started to show Runtime error and closes when I try to add text or overlays.I DO need HELP! from somebody, please.

For a start there is NO 'Roxio 11' there is Creator 2011 which I presume is what you are talking about

 

Firstly, what specific version of EMC 10 do you have (ther4e are several OEM versions, all of which are different) and also, what OS are you using?

Yes you are right, it is Creator 2011 which I had abbreviated to Roxio 11. On the bar code that came with the DVD it shows as" Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 OEM- Multi- Language,and has following number code 300-9664-1134-4019 and then the serial number. Does this help? I am using Windows XP home edition service pack 3.

Most folks here run a retail version of Roxio quite different from your OEM version.

 

You haven't said where and from who you got the OEM version of Roxio?

 

They are supposed to provide support for your product.

I bought the OEM from MTM NETWORKS. I tried their website given on the software DVD as www.mtmuk.co.uk and got the response "access is prohibited". Tried the telephone but the number is not recognized.I had no reason to contact them as the programme was working satisfactorily until now.

I tried the link which asks to uninstall and reinstall . I did uninstall twice to make sure no roxio or sonic files remain any where on my computer.

Video wave started and a message appeared "MPEG-2 must be activated. Click OK to activate or cancel." I clicked OK . Next message " No permission by the administrator . Bad installation must close." The wording may not be exactly this, as it flashed and disappeared fast and the video wave closed.

I can play dvds on the Power Play which uses MPEG-2, so MPG-2 is available. How can I activate MPEG-2?
