Pierre2k
Hi All, Wondering if anyone could help me out? I have Cineplayer 5.6 on my Asus G73JW-3DE and recently appear to have a problem with audio. Audio on absolutely everything else works fine, but when playing a movie file from the Harddrive in Cineplayer I get no audio at all. To clarify: Playing games - audio is fine On the desktop - audio is fine (get all the usual start up sounds etc) Watching Youtube - audio is fine Watching a Bluray movie in Cineplayer - audio is fine Playing a movie file or music file in Windows Media Player - audio is fine Watching the same movie file in Cineplayer - NO AUDIO It used to work when I first got the laptop, but doesn't seem to be now. For example, I had 3D Demo video files on my desktop when I purchased the machine that used to play in Cineplayer with Audio, but not now. Cineplayer audio settings are correct I assume, given that I get audio through Cineplayer when I watch a Bluray? Strange? Machine is running Windows 7 FYI. Hlpe would be appreciated. Humm, perhaps too much information on one hand and not enough on another. You have me confused when you talked about a desk top and a laptop. I don't know which one used to work and now doesn't or if one worked and another didn't. What are you trying to play - a commercial DVD or something home burned? That is strange. First open CinePlayer with a standard DVD in your player. Click on the tools icon and make sure that your settings are correct. What version of CinePlayer do you have on the computer that doesn't work?

I think you have misinterpreted part of my post. At no point do I refer to a desktop. Its all the same laptop. The only desktop reference is to say that audio and sound effects work correctly on the "Windows-desktop" (the GUI). Cineplayer, on the laptop, used to play video files with audio, but now the audio doesn't work. As for the video files, we are talking a mix. 3D video files pre-installed. 3D video files downloaded from nVidia. Digital copies that came with some blurays I bought. All play with sound in other players, but not in Cineplayer. The version of Cineplayer is 5.6. However, as noted, Cineplayer does play audio when I use a Bluray or a DVD. sknis
Ah, now I understand. DVD/Blu Ray play OK but FILES don't . It used to work but now it doesn't. When did that happen. What have you installed or updated between the time it worked and now? Have eyou installed SP 1 for W7? Did you buy CinePlayer as a stand alone product or as part of a different Roxio program.? What are the file extensions? Can you post a short section of a video on a file sharing site so we can try it?
