Loading Photos Through Slide Show Assistant

I recently purchased Roxio 2011 and have been trying to create a DVD in My DVD. When I select add slideshow it brings me to the slideshow assistant. I click on add photos and chose the file and photos to be added. I highlight the photos I want and click open. Nothing happens, no photos load on the page. No sure what I am doing wrong. The photos are all "jpg" format. I am able to load them through videowave but can't move them into the My DVD program. Have become very frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do not use the Slideshow assistant, the program to use is Videowave for creating slideshows. It offers much more flexibility and features.

After you have created the slideshow in Videowave, save your project as a Videowave project file, it will have the extension dmsm. Then exit Videowave and launch myDVD, select your menu style and then use the Add option add the "dmsm" project file.
