I have the same problem, no audio on a MacBook Pro, running OS 10.6.7.

I wrote roxio and all they do is link to text saying make sure the connections are done properly! I told them either fix it or authorize me to return the contraption. I paid $87 (including tax) for this thing. I have posted on two other threads about this.

They have a REAL PROBLEM with this device on MacBook Pro and OS 10.6.7 and we have to SHOUT at them to fix it. Save us all the talk about whether the cables work OK or are properly connected. THEY ARE PROPERLY CONNECTED. Roxio has a REAL PROBLEM here and they had better fix it and immediately!

Their customer service is laughable. Do they have grade school kids replying?

Here's that latest email (the FIFTH one - the same crap answers:

"A Roxio Agent has responded to your ticket! Please Click your ticket number to view your ticket.

Customer Support writes:

Dear Roger,

I understand your frustration.

In order to resolve the audio issue please update the latest audio driver by contacting the system manufacturer and then try to use Easy VHS to DVD for Mac.

Regards,

Andy.

Roxio Customer Care"

Can you believe this crap? I have told them repeatedly that NOBODY with a new 2011 MacBookPro can get their software to work - it is their defective software, and yet they keep telling me to reinstall the software, check the cables, look at their instructions, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, which I've already done half a dozen times. I have told them to get a 2011 MacBookPro and try it themselves but they refuse. Now they want me to contact Apple for the "latest audio driver"! They are the most jackass outfit I've seen as far as customer support.

I had the "no audio" problem on my MacBook Pro. I got zip support from Roxio Customer Support - just links to pages in the manuel. I also have an iMac, so I put the software on my iMac. However, I had the same problem. So.... I looked around and downloaded Roxio_EV2D_Capture_Update_1.0.3a.zip. It worked on my iMac. I finally got the audio. Yea!!! So I did the same thing on my MacBook Pro, but I still can't get it to work - I still see the no audio indication. Hope this helps someone, because I don't believe Roxio support will help.

I am running a Mac Pro with two quad processors. Same deal - captures video fine, but no audio. Trying to capture from a Hi8 camcorder. Cables and camera work fine playing through to TV.

Saw a knowledge base item that says to reboot in 32 bit mode. Did not try, will not try. Fix the product.

I'm pretty sure a fix is coming. Hold on.
