Easy Cd & Dvd Burning Will Not Load After Installation

Delita_chan

Question

Hi,

Just got the easy cd & DVD burning software and after installation, it just won't load. It will simply show the introduction screen (Easy CD burn, whatever) and stay stuck. I had to shut off my PC a couple of times because I tried to delete files in the recycle bin and it froze. Then Firefox didn't load.

Ive double checked the requirements for this program and everything is in top shape. The only thing I can THINK of is that I have IE6. Would this potentially stop the freezing?

Thanks so much.

Same here. Just bought the software today at Best Buy and after installing it, nothing happens, no activity whatsoever. I am on Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Box says it should work fine. I've tried running it as administrator and also in compatibility mode of XP SP3. Do I need to reinstall? I've never seen anything like this.

BAD Move on using compatibility!!!

Let's try this...

Do the Prep Steps to the letter!

Uninstall the Suite, reboot.

Make sure AV and Startup items are still disabled, then do the Install again. (of course I assume your account has Administrator Privileges ;) )

Not sure why you would say bad move. It didn't work the first few times I tried running it and after uninstalling and restarting etc.

I know Windows 7 has compatibility built in but when something installs and says that it did so successfully, you have to try something

when you try to start it and it doesn't do a thing. One thing I don't know why is how come the software doesn't have a 64 bit option but I

guess that is for another conversation.

Win7 Compatibility Mode was put it ONLY so that certain MS Software would run in Win7!

If it works for something else then so be it, but it was never its' intent or purpose...

You have a Win7 Compliant/Certified piece of software... Grasping at straws is A Bad Move!

The Red Box software is a cut down version of software that has been out of production for 3 years! It was only spiced up enough to make it Win7 Compatible.

NO VERSION of Roxio is 64 bit... the "gains" are just not enough to justify the expense but that could change in the future. I really doubt it will ever be found in Red Box version.

Jim, if it doesn't work when installed and rebooting a couple times to see if it might help and it doesn't

then it won't hurt to try different things. I keep my drivers up to date for the most part so if they're

off then it's not by much. I will do those things mentioned to see if they help. I don't know why you

seem to be slamming me on the version I bought. Best Buy has it out for sale and I just want something

to convert my camera's video files to dvd format. I wish BB would just say hey this is old, old software

but for some reason they don't mark their products like that.

No one is slamming anything...

The product works fine on Win7, I have been running it on Win7 since Nov 2009!

I have explained that your procedures of try anything once, even when you do not understand the ramifications, are a fast way to problems...

And that the product is not even a supported flagship version... It is not even sold on Roxie's site, nor has it ever been in any of the 3 version that have been made for retail sale...

I gave instructions on how best to install it at this point... That is what you need to do.
