I am having a problem with recording an LP on Roxio 2010.
I am using a Numark USB Turntable (TTUSB) and an HP computer with windows 7
My capture options are:
Stereo Mix (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Microphone (USB Audio CODEC)
Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Speakers (USB Audio CODEC)
When I go to record I can hear the record playing faintly on the turntable and in the Microphone (USB Audio CODEC) it captures. The problem with this method is the recording levels go all the way to max CLIP. To get a level to record I have to go to the far minus side. This results in the capture being paused. I cannot monitor through my speakers either
I did a test capture of a song and when I played it back there was a sound that is best described as a thump, thump, thump going on along with the song.
In all the other capture options I get nothing. I am hooked up with the USB connection from the turntable and have used both front and back ports. I have yet to try the RCA cables.
I have thought of using my receive/amp and JVC turntable and hook it up to the computer.
