Not Recognizing 3D Video Card

I recently purchase Roxio video lab HD. When I open Video editing-advance, it gives me a pop up window. The exact words are as fallowed: Because your video card doesn’t support 3D video and all 3D features are disable now. In order to use 3D features please upgrade your video card and its drivers. Now I have the Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 and as you know it does support 3D, and all of my drivers are up to date. With hours of trying to figure out how to make Video lab HD recognizes the video card, I still haven’t been successful. Any Ideas on how I could solve this problem?

UNINSTALL your current drivers and software, then install your new download.

NVIDIA 3D Vision

 

* With Release 270 drivers, the 3D Vision Controller driver is now included with all GPU driver installations. This driver package includes v270.61 3D Vision Controller driver. Users are no longer required to install a separate 3D Vision Controller driver or CD driver. For more information, please view this knowledgebase article for

 

Release 270 New Installation Requirements

 

In Release 260 and 265 drivers the 3D Vision Driver was included with the GeForce driver, while the 3D Vision Controller Driver was a separate download. Starting with Release 270, all GeForce GPU driver packages will now include all drivers necessary to run 3D Vision. Therefore, it is not necessary to download a separate 3D Vision Controller driver. During installation of the 3D Vision Controller driver you should not see any pop-up messages.

 

The Release 270 driver has two options.

Express installation will automatically remove all previous 3DController drivers. NOTE: NVIDIA recommends most users use the Express driver installation option.

Custom installation allows users to select which drivers to install, including the 3D Vision Driver and 3D Vision Controller Driver. If you choose to do a Custom Installation, NVIDIA recommend to allow the custom installation to install all new Release 270 3D Vision related drivers. NOTE: You cannot run a Release 260 or 265 3D Vision Controller Driver with Release 270 GeForce drivers. Therefore if you chose to unselect the 3D Vision Controller driver during custom install, any previously installed 3D Vision Controller driver on the system will get uninstalled. This is to ensure driver compatibility

 

In addition, the 3D Vision Setup Wizard will no longer automatically launch after driver install. Users will be required to enable 3D Vision the first time or re-launch the Setup Wizard from the NVIDIA Control Panel.

 

Then open Videowave, tools, options, and rune the graphics test in hardware.

I'm having SAME PROBLEM!!! 100% of my other 3D capable programs RUN WITH 3D VIDEO OUTPUT FLAWLESSLY!!!

 

Roxio's software is the ONLY product I've purchased that INSISTS that my system is not 3D capable!!!

 

I'm thinking it's probably that Roxio's software is looking for the SEPARATE 3D video Driver that NVidia has now COMBINED INTO its newest driver software update so there is NO LONGER a SEPARATE 3D Driver application the Roxio software can find, and the Roxio software is TOO STUPID to check the MAIN video driver to see if IT CONTAINS the 3D Driver portions...

 

My Video Card's driver is NOW allowing me to play most of my games that were NEVER INTENDED to be 3D output in AMAZINGLY REALISTIC Anaglyphic 3D video.

 

I wish Roxio allowed download of TRIAL version of the software to test PRE-PURCHASE!!! If they had offered THIS, I'd have NEVER wasted my $$$ on their software that PRE-PURCHASE was PROMISING ME that I could use the software to convert video to 3D output, only to find out POST-PURCHASE that the software determines whether it is TRULY 3D capable based on what it can find in the driver files for the video system, but it was TOO POORLY DESIGNED to do more than look for a SPECIFIC FILE containing 3D video drivers instead of being smart enough to check either with performance checks or system benchmark tests to determine whether system is 3D capable... OR, as some of my other 3D software that relies on TWO video sources does... Create the 3D video, use its own player software to show the 3D output, then export to file format that Windows Media Player is even able to play in the proper 3D video format!!!

 

Unless Roxio gets their software UPDATED to recognize the 3D capabilities of the CURRENT NVidia video drivers... Roxio NOW OWES ME 100% REFUND for what I spent on their product DUE TO THEIR PROMISING ME their software would do for me something it is now REFUSING TO DO!!!

I'm not running Video Lab HD, I'm running Roxio Creator 2011 Pro.

 

When I open Edit Video Advanced and choose a 3D 4.3 or 3D 16.9 project I don't get your error.

 

I wonder if your install went poorly, have you tried running a repair?

I'd think & HOPE since this board is on Roxio's own site, they'd be smart enough to have one (or more) of their support people monitoring what gets posted here and able to give help where needed since Roxio Support is who/what suggested I check here for help.
