Fireeater Posted May 4, 2011 Report Share Posted May 4, 2011 hello have easy vhs to dvd (build 201b23a enu) on samsung laptop (quad cpu)i5 intel 2.4 ghz 4 gig ram 64 bit windows 7 home after a couple of reinstalls, and told it is up to date when tring to update from web site have unit working (as in now sees the usb cature device) i have the preview video and sound working well but when recording, the video is spot on ,but do not get any audio have tried different formats (saving to pc file for editing before dvd burns) have checked the forums and haven't found any that say preview ok but...... thanks in advance (with my luck it's a simple error on my part that will make me feel stupid) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am trying to determine if it Recording the audio but you are simply not hearing Also, did you try all of the other settings for both Recording as well as playback? Fireeater Posted May 9, 2011 Author Report Share Posted May 9, 2011 have recorded in the mwv format (works) mpeg2 format (no sound) mpeg4 format (works) now this is when i'm exporting to pc file just to clarify after i record and try to play it brings up the export screen i click on the pc icon and change the advanced settings if i change it to mwv the mwv or mpeg4 file plays correctly (video and sound) if i play the raw recorded mpg or the mpeg2 file i get no sound have tried windows media player, vlc ,and divx player all the same Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jim_Hardin Posted May 9, 2011 Report Share Posted May 9, 2011 So the software is working correctly, you just have some missing codecs on your PC... You could try a Repair... Do the Prep Steps to the letter! Then start to install of the Suite, only pick Repair when it is offered.
