Dvd To Imac Using Toast 11

DogTired

Question

I just purchased the Toast 11 just to load some DVd's I have (old black and white ) on my IMac and then load the file to my IPad for when I'm flying. I thought I made the right choice in selecting this software but I'm totally lost. Is there a simple way of achieving what I want to do? If it has already been discussed in an earlier thread just point me in the direction. I tried the tutorials with no luck. I thought this was going to be simple as I'm not computer smart. Thanks in advance for any help.

Presuming these are unencrypted DVDs it should be as simple as choosing DVD Disc as the format in the Convert window, clicking the Convert button and choosing IPad as the device in the window that appears before executing the conversion. It can be a little more complicated if you choose to select options in the main window and choose specific titles from the DVD you want Toast to convert.

Thedvd's are encrusted but they are old black and white mysteries. Charlie Chan and a lot of B type movies. I just like the older less known. Movies. I thought by purchasing this software you could transfer them like to I tunes and download to the IPad. You can't purchase anything but DVd's. If I can't copy them then I wasted my money. Any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance

We can't discuss how to defeat DVD copy protection in the Roxio forums. You might check the Mac forum at videohelp.com for some tips.
