Recording Vhs To Dvd

Question

I am having trouble recording VHS to DVD. First, I tried recording directly from VHS to DVD but it only recorded about 1 and 1/2 min of video. Then I tried recording from VHS to the hard drive and it started off fine but then the video froze even though it shows that it is still recording. What is going on? How can I fix it?

Need to know the Version or Build number of your software... (pinned post at the top about Versions?)

Need to know your PC specs, like I have in my signature block.

Do you have another source, like a DVD Player or a camcorder you can test it with?

The Build number of my software is 201B23A, VHS.

Toshiba Satellite L675D

AMD Turion II P540 Dual-Core Processor 2.40 GHz

4.00 GB RAM

64-bit Operating System

Windows 7 Home Premium

I don't have another source to test it with.

You should have 2 drivers listed in your Device Manager when you plug in the Roxio USB device. If it doesn’t look like this, it will never work:

What I think you need to try, is to delete the drivers.

Then remove the Roxio USB device and put it in another room for now! (really  )

Do the Prep Steps to the letter!

Then start to install of the Suite, only pick Repair when it is offered.

Only after you reboot, can the Roxio USB device be allowed back in the room ;)

With this method, we know we have a good install, so give it a try.
