Missing Qtcf.dll File

Willard M

Question

Program has been working perfectly until today. When I started Videowave I got a message that the program would not start as it was missing the QTCF.DLL file and that I would need to reinstall the program. I studied the box for a minute or so then clicked OK. The box disappeared and I was looking at a blank white monitor. In about a minute my Videowave opened but had not loaded my file. Another box appeared with the same message that I was missing the QTCF.DLL file. I clicked OK on the box and it disappeared. Almost immediately my program loaded and ran normally.

I did a computer search to see if I had the missing file and the answer was that I did not have it on my computer.

Question? What is this file and do I need it. Can someone email me the missing file along with the file path and I can reload it? Will this solve the problem?

QTCF.dll is a Quicktime file and not a Roxio file. Since Roxio requires Quicktime to be installed perhaps you need to do a repair of the Quicktime program.

Thanks Walt. I will give that a try. I just did an update of Quicktime the other day. Is it best to uninstall Quicktime and then reinstall fresh?
