Windows 7 Iconcache Problem

Hello,

 

I have a very annoying problems which I know for certain is caused by Roxio Creator 2011... I know this because I have painstakenly diagnosed the cause of the delay in desktop icons abduction taskbar icons turning white then back to their normal state to Creator 2011.

 

I have been tracking this problem for a couple of months now abduction I have got to the point where I'm going to have to right Roxio Creator 2011 off because I don't know an alternative resolution to this problem.

 

I have increased the iconcache within the registry with a value of 2048 which has improved iconcache for the start menu but not for the desktop. up to the point of installing Roxio Creator 2011... everything is fine, no issues with iconcache no disapering icons on the desktop or taskbar.

 

As soon as Creator is installed there's an issue with Windows 7 iconcache. Therefore, it must be linked to Creator 2011. I cannot find any other program which is causing this problem other than Creator 2011. Has anybody else experienced similar problems with IconCache within Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit....

 

Has anybody got any solutions and/or resolutions on how to resolve this issue. I like the program it has everything I need, but it keeps aiding a problem with IconCache. Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

I doubt very much that your problem is caused by Roxio, after all, you are the first person who has ever mentioned this on these forus as far as I know.

 

If you do a google search you will find hundreds of post with this problem and a lot of solutions offered. Have you tried any of them?

You could not have looked very hard. Just do a search on "desktop icon cache windows 7" and you get some 20 million hits

 

Nothing is ever odd when it comes to computers!

It would be as big help if you post your complete computer specifications. It could be that your computer is just not up to handling the program quickly or other things you have runing may be giving you the problem. You can use My Settings at the top of this page to naviagte to your signature and post the information there. It will show up in all your past and future posts.
