I also cannot burn certain .avi files to dvd like I used to. i've had roxio creator 2010 for roughly a year now. i loved this program so much but now i'm at wit's end... please help this noob :(

That's not very much to work on.

Please explain why you can't do this anymore. What happens when you try?

You can't burn "certain avi files" . . . What happens when you try?

Are there certain avi files you can burn?

If so, what's the difference between the ones you can burn and the ones you can't?

Please take a moment and imagine that I'm a passer-by you've asked for help. Describe what's happened in full detail so I can help to uncover the cause of your problem.

Regards,

Brendon

Thats pretty much it. I open copy and convert, drag an .avi file and the program does nothing. it doesn't even recognize or show the file. I've also tried selecting the file through the program itself, and it hangs and never shows the file at all. I guess I should rephrase what i stated earlier. I used to be able to convert any .avi file I chose, and now the program does not recognize any .avi files. It will recognize wmv mp4 or mpeg and that's it. I hadn't used the program for about several months and to my knowledge, the program is updated. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I greatly appreciated :)
