Can't Burn .mp4 Files To A Dvd

I can't believe this problem. I have .mp4 files that I wish to put on a DVD. My files play fine on Quicktime, but Toast won't import and I get unsupported error message.

What shall I do?

 

What's funny that when I drag the file, toast preview opens and it actually plays the video clip.

Could it be that this MP4 file has some form of DRM that prevents conversion to DVD?

If it comes from e.g. the iTunes store (like a 'rental' tv show), then the file may contain protection against conversions.

no it doesn't, but I could use a 3rd party application to convert it to mpeg2 and take it from there, it is just gonna be longer and I hope quality stays the same.
