Viewing Sonic 6.1 Cinne Player On A Large Flat Screen Tv

I have been using Sonic 6.1 for many years. I recently dedicated a new computer & 40" tv monitor to watch the MP4 Video's that I have recorded. If I burn the video's to a DVD I can watch them in a expanded view on my monitor. If I try to watch them as MP4 files using Sonic Cinne player I see only a square picture which does not fill out the screen. Is there a software upgrade to correct this or do I have to go to a newer version of Roxio Software.

Your new computer what operating system does it run?

 

I'm not familar with Sonic 6.1 but what operating systems is it designed to run on?

Sonic is a brandname. 6.1 is the version.

 

What is the NAME of the Sonic 6.1 software you're talking about please, Alan?
