Download Of Creator Pro 2011

mobilelawyer

Question

I purchased and downloaded Creator Pro 2011 on Friday. I saved the files to a portable harddrive at work, and took them home to install on my HTPC.I noticed that three files were originally downloaded by Roxio Download Manager, but that only two files existed on the hard drive when I got it home: Creator 2011 Pro and the accompanying Creator Pro Content file. I assumed that Parts One and Two of the Roxio Creator Pro were combined into one file by the Manager.

Is this correct? My recollection is that the Creator Pro installation file was about 1.8GB in size. I note that the Part 1 file that is orginally downloaded is 1.52GB and Part 2 is 315MB. So the sum of those two should work out to be about 1.8GB. Am I correct?

Since I installed the program, apparantly without any issue, and it appears to be working OK, I assume "I got it all".

Can someone please verify? I do notice that I got serial numbers in the purchase email for Sonicfire Pro and SoundSoap, but I was never prompted to enter either of them during the installation. So I am just making sure I got a complete install.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It looks as if the Content file is missing

The files should be:

Program - 1,598,668 KB

Content - 1,350,924 KB

I will have to look on the drive at home. I do not have it here. I had the content file and installed it. But just for grins, I did download again, and there are three files, not two. But I am assuming when the the creator pro executable is invoked, it combines one and two. See attached file list from today's download.

What do you mean by combining? There is no attached list.

1-install the program file and reboot

2-install the Content file and reboot

3-install the extras

Sorry to be so vague, and I also forgot to attach the jpg showing the information about the files I downloaded today. I am correcting that with this post. The downloader initial message shows 3 files are to be downloaded. I downloaded the whole package this afternoon, and the file list shows 3 files were downloaded. Somehow, I lost or deleted one of them, because it is not on the hard drive I used to save the files to this weekend. I am also attaching a jpg of the file list, which shows the sizes of the files after the download completed.

This past weekend I only had two files when I got home. I installed the 2011 Creator Pro Exe file and rebooted, and then I installed the Roxio 2011 Content file and rebooted. But, somehow, I must have deleted or lost a third file: Roxio 2011 Pro Disc 2, which was 322,615MB in size. I will correct that omission and install it tonight. It must be the extras file.

And, contrary to the message from the Roxio Downloader, I unchecked the option to begin installing automatically after the download was complete. When I got home this weekend and observed that I only had two install files, I wondered whether "Part 1" somehow subsumed the "Part 2" file into a single file after the download was complete, and I had simply not noticed. This is obviously not the case, because today I verified that there are 3 files, just like I remembered, and not two.
