Canon S95 Hd Video: Video And Audio Not Synced In Roxio.

jpab29

Question

Hi, I am trying to edit HD videos from Canon S95 on Roxio Special Edition 2011. When I try to preview it in roxio, the audio gets fast forwarded and it finishes before the video ends.

my video specs is a Mov File, it's 23 frames per second and it's 720p. Has anyone experienced the same problem? thanks so much. :)

Yes, many who try to use a image camera as a camcorder. In Windows folder view, make sure Windows is set to show known extensions. Chnge the extension from mov to mp4. Try that. If it works, that is the simplest tool.

If not, you can try to use Video Copy and Convert to change the mov file to mpg2. If that still doesn't work, go to cnet.com and download a free video converter. The programs on that site are safe. Look for one that will convert mov to mpg2. Unless you are going to burn an AVCHD disc or a blu-ray disc to play on a blu-ray player, there is no need to keep the HD resloution since, except for the above, ait will be converted to 480 to play on a DVD player.

How did you get the video files on your compter?

hey there again! Video and audio sync is fixed! But another problem arises.... the video was fine after i converted it using freemake video converter. But after i used video wave of roxio and exported it, the video is stretched upwards. but i also checked the height and width, it's still 1280 x 720 all along, unedited to edited, but it's just when roxio exported it, the video is stretched upwards and compressed sideways. I've checked the settings and edit choices to fix it but there was none. Special edition of roxio is not the full version huh....

Yes, it is the full version with two items missing that have nothing to do with video editing. It sounds like you did not select 16 by 9 when you opened Video Wave (first image). That will give you the 4 by 3 that you may be seeing.

The other possibility is the way your exported the video -- What settings did you use? If you want 16 by 9 then you have to select the option that will give you that. You will not see those options unless you selected 16 by 9 to begin with.

Select 16 by 9 here:
