I Have Audio In Computer, But Not In Home Dvd Player

Kdough20

Question

Hello!

When I burn the .mpg file that I created with the VHS to DVD converter, the dvdr plays fine on my computer, however when I put the burned disk in a home dvd player (tried several different players) the audio doesn't play. I checked the RCA hook ups and commercial dvds play fine, just the burned ones don't.

Is this a common problem? I tried using DVD-R and DVD+R both had the same issue.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm using a Mac 10.5.8

You need to change a setting in your DVD player. Somewhere in the player's setup is an audio setting to convert MPEG audio to PCM. Turn that option on.

THANK YOU! I fixed it. I should have asked three weeks ago and would have avoided three weeks of frustration! :)
