Cannot Install Update 11.0.2

Just purchased and installed Toast 11 Titanium for the first time. [Note: also had the permissions issue as detailed on other thread but I have resolved this]

 

Here lies the problem: Run for the first time and alerted to update available. Downloaded update and hit "install and restart". Ran through install update script after entering administrator password. Install runs through all stages to 'Summary' where I am issued: "THE INSTALLATION FAILED - The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail....".

 

 

Should state running iMac 2.8GHz i7 with Mac OS X 10.6.7; disk verified and repaired in 'disk utility'.

I don't know the reason for this but here is a possible workaround. Go to Roxio's software updates page and download the latest Toast 11 update. It has everything that is included in the standard version of Toast 11 but with the latest versions. Trash our existing Toast 11 Titanium folder and then run the downloaded installer.

I had the same problem with "Update", but the work-around to download the program again and install it worked fine. I only trashed the Toast application, but it looks like all the other goodies updated fine.
