Strangeness with Thumbs.db

danhaz

Question

when I burn a data dvd, I am being prompted that Thumbs.db is "excluded." However, the .db file extension is NOT 'checked' for exclusion, nor are system / hidden files being excluded. There's some 'hidden' option that EMC8 is not exposing. The only workaround is to "select all / clear all" on the exclusions list, but that is really odd, since, again, .db wasn't excluded in the first place...

What gives??

Thumbs.db is Microsoft's way of caching thumbnail images of any image or movie file in a folder. Since it is not at all needed, I guess EMC has decided it does not need to be copied.
