Need Help Making Dvd Image To Play Now & Burn Later

starbux56

Question

I have Toast Titanium 11. I ripped one of my dvds and have a pile of files that mostly start with VTS and end with .VOB. I would like to, using Toast 11, make a disc image that for now I can play on my Mac & later burn to a backup dvd disc. I've tried a few ways in Toast but have not ended up with the desired results. I'm sure any experienced Toast user with even earlier versions can assist in guiding me to what steps are necessary. I think now they're located in a Video_TS subfolder though don't recall if it was there after the rip or I may have created it trying to accomplish my task.

You can choose DVD-Rom (UDF) as the format in the Data window and add the VIDEO_TS folder. You can then save as disc image. Mount the disc image using Mount It from the contextual menu in the Finder or from Toast's Utilities menu or by selecting the disc image using the Image File setting in the Copy window and DVD Player will treat it as an inserted video DVD.

You also can choose VIDEO_TS folders from the Toast Video window, add the VIDEO_TS folder and choose Save as Disc Image. This approach gives you the option to deselect some of the content. Doing so, however, also eliminates the menu.
