Trying To Record Live Audio On My Rgc

AndrewPWH

Question

Hey all, I'm trying to record live audio on my videos, yet every time i record it covers what I'm saying with game audio, and it's rather frustrating, the two programs I have are the basic sound recorder on my computer and Cyberlink Powerdirector.

Any help would be awesome!

You shouldn't be able to record voice over directly while capturing the game footage. It will only capture the output game sounds. It won't capture voice chat.

What you can do is use the editor (VideoWave) to add a track that has your voice over.

So I can't even record live voice chat while using a separate program?

I suppose if you had your computer next to you and could connect a microphone you could record voice to a file on your computer while playing the game but the device itself will not capture any voice. It only captures the game sounds.

If you recorded a separate file you could go in to the editor (VideoWave) and add it as a track to the audio.

Think about it.In the device set up did you connect anything that will "hear" your game chat?I didn't and I don't think you did either.

The output that the device gets from your console does not include the game chat channel.

Even if you set your console to play the voice through your speakers the only thing you hear is your opponents, not yourself.

The only choice is to record a commentary afterwards and then add that file as an overlay in VideoWave.
