Can't Save To An External Hard Drive?

I have a 320GB Hitachi external hard drive that I would like to save the raw footage to but whenever I select it even though it shows that's the file location I want everything saved, it shows the remaining hard drive capacity I have left in my internal hard drive. Now I do have a 2nd internal hard drive and when I select that it works fine. But if I try using my external hard drive it seems to revert back to the first internal hard drive which only has 4GB left on it.

 

Any advice or suggestions?

Hi Arok Lazarus,

 

You can. But you will very limited in video bitrate, because USB use max 30MB. If use RGC at same time with HD external, probably will get dropped frames/ audio desync or other anomally.

 

Backup docs for HD external and use nternal HD to capture.
