theoldarchiver
If the app doesn't rely on any PowerPC code whatsoever, i.e. it doesn't need Rosetta, then it "should" run fine under Lion. If it runs fine on Snow Leopard without Rosetta (default install), then it doesn't rely on PPC code, thus it "should" run fine under Lion. The real test is of course one of the developer releases of Lion, but those come with a non-disclosure agreement. So if you know, you're not supposed to tell about it. The latest DR was rumored to be GM (golden master, i.e. final test), so no significant changes are expected. Just a few more days... (0<t<18). Jobs said "July". Roaring Apps mentions v8, v10, and v11 run fine on Lion -- but that's unverified user reports.
DennisToast
Checking before upgrading TODAY. Last major update (Leopard) I went without support for 6 monthes with promises. I dont want Toast, ESPECIALLY Tivo software to break. Anyone?

DennisToast
I decided to install Lion on my Macbook not my iMac... so I can test Toast 10 (latest version). Mac2Tivo is BROKEN. It will launch, but will not add folders and will not stay in menu as active program. Also my TiVo does not see it. Tivo Transfer worked just fine, but back when Leopard came out and I was posting here, this was exactly same case. Also, Toast 10 appears to work, I haven't done anything else. My main roadblock has occurred. So, ROXIO SUPPORT... any chance any patches? I plan on researching Toast 11 now, just in case.

Toast 10 is still considered a supported application by Roxio and it was typical in the past for Roxio to update all supported versions when a system update create a problem. I'm not promising anything but it is what I hope they will do.
ruldricks
would love to know if my current Toast program is going to work with Lion. I have Toast 10.0.8 on my mac It doesn't work. http://kb.roxio.com/ This is disappointing. Their news about Toast 11 doesn't sound very promising either so I don't plan to buy it anytime soon. Hopefully an update will be released soon.

Poor Service
Toast sucks and Roxio customer service sucks. For all those waiting since AUGUST for the MAC OS Lion maintenance update for Toast 10 will be please to know - THERE WILL NOT BE ONE. Emails received from Roxio (17/10/2011) states - "We have recently received an update from our development team that the testing for Toast 10 in Compatibility mode for Mac Os x Lion 10.7 was not a success. So, they dropped the idea of developing a maintenance update for Toast 10 to be compatible with Mac Os X Lion 10.7." Nice to see the Roxio web site still says there will be one. BEWARE Toast 11 - Most users will be able to use Toast 11 uninterrupted, however we expect to release a maintenance update soon to resolve issues that will be experienced by Lion users. Until this update, users will not be able to capture audio from running applications in Spin Doctor X, and may experience the occasional crash or other unwanted behavior while working with Toast 11. Do Toast 10 users get a free upgrade to Toast 11 - NO Are there any deals for a upgrade - NO Very POOR Customer Support and Service - Anyone want to buy a copy of Toast 10 - going cheap!!!!! Hi Poor Service Thanks for alerting us to this, but it is incorrect. First, if you could DM me your ticket number so I could see which agent made those statements, thast would be great. Second, the agent is, of course, wrong. If we find that they made such statements, there will be strong repercussions. Third, I emails our Toast product manager regarding the update and he said it was actually going to be released tomorrow, but let's just say Tuesday to be safe since he's on a plane from Germany right now. So I'll post the link here when it's out. Lastly, I'll be closing this thread and all the threads you posted your message to, so the link can be added and customers don't have to wade through another long, drawn out discussion for the link (which we'll create a separate post and new KB article for).
