Mydvd Not Responding Please Help

Captain Hair

Question

Can someone PLEASE HELP ME? I bought Roxio Creator 2011 a few weeks back and then had a medical emergency so I never really got to look at it. Well I finally got around to trying it out and I am so disappointed. Anytime I try to set a thumbnail for a chapter I get the error message “mydvd not responding” and it shuts down.

I’ve spent probably 8 hours over the last week trying to fix this. So I uninstalled it, rolled back to IE8, made sure I have the current versions of .Net3.5, and DirectX. Then I reinstalled Creator 2011, then Creator SP1, and then set MyDVD to render using software. But then I went through all this and I still get the error.

Can someone please help me? I can’t use this software as is. Or afford to try anything else only hoping it will work.

Thanks in advance

Steve

First of all, please tell us exactly what it is you want to do.

Then tell us exactly, step-by-step what you are doing.

Some information on your system specs is also necessary.

“Anytime I try to create set a thumbnail for a chapter I get the error message “mydvd not responding” and it shuts down.”

I want this to go away. I want to be able to select a chapter thumbnail for the chapters on the chapter menus when creating menus using MyDVD. I just got to the chapter menu, right click, select thumbnail, find the frame I want, click OK, and then it crashes. Or it goes back out to the menu but no image is displayed. In those cases if I try to set a thumbnail for the next chapter, it will crash when I click OK when selecting the frame.
