Setup Question

DaveDischord

Question

I just bought a Roxio Game Capture for consoles and wanted to know how much further I can go. I understand the basics, i.e. Xbox to Roxio to HDTV via Component cable. Currently my game play-only setup is running an Xbox VGA cable to a Monitor, while running the sound to an EZCap USB on my laptop. Everything works great from there. The question is how I can keep the current setup with the addition of the Roxio. I saw some "VGA to Component" cables on eBay and was wondering if I could run one of those from the Roxio to my EZCap and monitor? Basically my ideal setup would be Xbox > Roxio (USB-Laptop) > EZCap [Audio](USB-Laptop)/Monitor [Video]. If not, I'm open to any other suggestions that aren't expensive.

Hi DaveDischord,

For me direct component cable is better, but work with "VGA to Component" too, but can cause interferences on image.

You can get audio separate (Its skipped audio volume issue on RGC)? Easy.

From audio buy this: 3.5mm-2rca-adapter.jpg

Plug audio output component Xbox cable and plug in MIC on Laptop. More easy, impossible.
