Lots Of Hiss

LindyM

Question

Hello -

I am trying to burn a DVD with five .m4v files onto a disc. There appears to be plenty of space on the DVD for all the video, but when I burn a disc image (my way of testing before I accidentally make coasters), the video looks fine but the audio is nothing but hiss. I'm guessing that burning a real DVD would not yield a different result.

The original files are fine, but they're not okay after they've gone through Toast.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Lindy

Forgot to mention that the videos play fine in the previews in Toast. It's only after burning an image that it stops working.

Thanks.

How does Toast describe the audio format in when the .m4v is added to the Toast window? It may be that you need to install the perian codec (www.perian.org) in order for the audio to be encoded properly.
