Captured Avi Won't Play

I installed the included software on my laptop and everything works fantastic, capturing and editing, so, I thought I'd also put the software on my desktop since it has more RAM. Everything installed fine and seems to capture smoothly. When I finish the capture (in AVI) I can't play the file in WMP nor can I drop the file to 'Edit & Share' stating that "One or more files cannot be edited..." I can watch captured files using WMV and DIVX and, if I do capture in AVI, I can take that file to my laptop on a flash drive and watch/edit it on there. I'm guessing there might be something with codecs, but that doesn't explain why the Roxio Game Capture Edit & Share won't except it. Any ideas?

Install FFDSHOW and update your DIRECTX and configure like this image below

Open the AVI file in Media Player Classic, click with button 2 mouse, in open window click em "properties" copy "media infos" and post here.

DaveDischord if all avi files working in MPC I suggest installing a codec pack.

 

Personally I use K-lite Codec Pack + Quicktime lite + Real Alternative (find all in www.free-codecs.com )

 

When installing K-lite, choose option 7 and ready.

Please, reinstall RGC software. Maybe fixed your problem.

 

If not fixed, I´m go my home in 40 minutes and will work for a solution/fix for it.

 

Can you upload a file (10 seconds is enough) in some archive site for me (multiupload or megauplad or 4shared?
