Roxio Project Files

pschloss

Question

I'm sure this question has been asked many times before, but the search mechanism hasn't fount anything useful - or I haven't found the right search phrase.

I have hundreds of .roxio project files on my XP system running Creator 9. My new computer is Windows 7 and has Creator 2011, which now uses .rox to save burn projects. Does anyone know of a program utility that will convert the old format to the new?

BTW - I'm kind of annoyed at Roxio that they don't provide this functionality. This type of non-compatibility is a good argument *against* upgrading to a new version of any product.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paul

Sorry Paul,

Roxio has never made a habit of providing backward compatibility between versions. In general, saved projects are only good for the version they're made in.

The format of saved project files is proprietary to Roxio and changes often. Despite a lot of searching, I haven't heard of a program utility which will convert one format to another. :(

Regards,

Brendon
