After installing Creator Pro 2011, when I click on the Pro icon to run the program, I get the following screens at the point where the startup screen says it is installing CP2011 Pro:(1)Preparing to Install, (2)Wait while Windows Configures…,(3)The setup must update files or services that cannot be updated while system is running… When I click OK and see update bars then restart per a screen message that follows, I come back to the same point after restarting the OS. If I bypass the update, most components will not load from the CP2011 Home Screen.
I am upgrading from Creator Pro 2010, having downloaded and then expanded the new files. I followed the instructions for complete uninstall of CP2010 before starting to install CP2011. I also ran the reg-cleaners from Norton Utilities and from CCleaner. I have done 4 complete CP2011 installs plus SP1 update and a fifth with only disks 1 and 2 and no SP1 update.
I tried different approaches with the five install attempts. After each of the attempts 1-4, I followed the instructions for complete removal of CP2011 and reran the registry cleaners. Before the last install, I downloaded the latest DirectX; turned off all virus scan, monitoring and firewall; disabled startup services and rebooted. Disk 1 install was started from the bypass DirectX install bat file. Streaming server and streaming client were not installed.
After the 5th install, I tried to run CP2011 4 times, each ending in the recycle problem. The first time was done with the startup processes, virus scan or firewall turned off. The second was with everything turned on. The 3rd was via Safe Mode. The 4th was after running through the update cycle in safe mode.
Operating System: Win7 Pro 64-bit with 8GB memory, 500GB free space on C:, Norton Suite 2011, Norton Utilities, Media Player and Media Center. All updates from Microsoft to Win7 Pro have been installed. The latest drivers for graphics and optical drives have been installed. Yes I am frustrated. Please Help
