My new computer, Win 7 SP1 32bit, came with Dell OEM Roxio Creator Starter preinstalled. I have a Full retail version of Roxio Creator 2011 that I want to install on this computer.
1. Should the OEM version be uninstalled prior to installing my own Roxio Creator?
2. Searching the Dell help forums, I found that someone who uninstalled the OEM version had problems with other programs (although I don't know if this is only that person's problem). I have posted on the Dell forum site also for advice.
3. Searching this site, I have found a couple of references to the Dell OEM version. Uninstalling the OEM version was recommended.
4. Has anyone on this site uninstalled the OEM version and then installed a full retail version? Or, has anyone who has had the OEM version installed, installed the retail version over top? If so, what steps should I take? I cannot find any uninstall .exe for the Starter version on my computer (but maybe I don't know exactly what to look for )
