My Files Are Fast Forwarded!

KaS Mu1ff1n

Question

I need some help with my new Roxio Game Capture, my recording of gameplay is perfectly fine but when I go to see what my gameplay was like it is all fast forwarded. I noticed that there is a thing for how long you want it to capture but how can I make it so it is the same length as what I was playing at?

Its laggy and way too fast ???

I googled and came up with Amarectv like so many others but, now my video isn't that great anymore ...

This is done with Amarec ;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DAmG02joaQ&feature=player_profilepage

Someone knows what the problem is and how we can fix it, because I would realy like to use the original software ofcourse so I dont have less quality video and no waterbrand in my videos ..........

And i think that if you buy a product it should work instantly and you dont have to be a codec en stuff expert to run something ....

PLEASE HELP / RESPOND ROXIO !!!

Hi Chl666r,

AmarecTV or Virtualdub make very high quality image. Much better then Roxio Game Capture software. No compare.

If you config AmarecTV or Virtualdub correctly theres no waterbrand or poor quality.

Check my tutorial for this.

You are welcome Chl666r

For Virtualdub look this videos:

RECORD:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlBrRpKzIyg

RESIZE:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbRq5yoJqFs

TIP: NEVER use Videowave 720p@60FPs, because YT use only 30FPS. Its can cause LAG/DELAY audio in your videos upped.

Use only 720p@30 or 480p@30.

Easy my friend.

Not use AMV codec. Go to this page and get UT VIDEO CODEC

LINK: UT Video Codec

For RGC use UT VIDEO CODEC YUV422(ULY2).

Will get awesome capture quality.

For encode, using RIPBOT264 look this:

Medium Quality:

For Youtube-480p I use 2000brt

For Youtube-720p I use 4000brt

For Youtube-1080p use 6000btr

High Quality:

For Youtube-480p I use 3000brt

For Youtube-720p I use 6000brt

For Youtube-1080p use 9000btr

Hi Claudio

I have followed all your tutorial for virtual dub but i have a few issues. I am running on a UK Ps3 by the way!

1. audio sync is always out by about half a second

2. the file sizes are way to large end up about 2gb for a 6 min capture

3. Also the quality i am getting from rgc looks good till the video moves to fast and i seem to get a horizontal line blur dont know if this is framerate issue would it help for me to try and post a vid you could watch and link it here?

Hello Seddo1000,

1 - UK PS3 signal is PAL or 25FPS, correct? Did you set 25FPS in Virtualdub?

2 - Yes. Very larger files because codec used. For low size try FFDSHOW DV codec.

3 - Please, post your video to see this problem.

Hi Claudio

I have tried to change some settings today on amarectv but it will only let me capture in:

W=720 H=480 FPS=29.97 YUY2 BIT=16

W=864 H=480 FPS=29.97 YUY2 BIT=16

Which is NTCS.

If i try to record in PAL B

W=720 H=576 FPS=25.00 YUY2 BIT=16

W=704 H=576 FPS=25.00 YUY2 BIT=16

I get the attached screen:

I am now using FFDS codec which has sorted the size issues thankyou>

Here is my video any comments or suggestions on ways it could be improved?

Any ideas would be gratefully appriciated.

Best Regards

W=720 H=576 FPS=25.00 YUY2 BIT=16

W=704 H=576 FPS=25.00 YUY2 BIT=16

Select manually W=720 H=480 FPS=30,00 YUY2 BIT=16 instead W=720 H=480 FPS=29.97 YUY2 BIT=16. Its a necessary because AMARECTV not record correctly 29,97. Only 25, 30, 50 and 60.

In record page select 30 FPS.

NEVER use 864x480 to record because this a software resize (extreme poor). No hardware resize. Use Virtualdub to resize 16:9 (848x480 or 852x480 or 1280x720) or 4:3 (640x480 or 1280x960).

I get the attached screen:

My schema for get Hihg Quality is: Record in AMARECTV with UT Video Codec (bigger files), after this open VIRTUALDUB for resize, colors corrections, filters, audio volume (PCM codec compression) save video with UT video codec again. Compress with RIPBOT264 to MP4 (Youtube target).

For me the awesome method for get HQ files.

Try & reply.

Best Regards
