Usb Driver Will Not Install

judebak

Question

I have made several attempts to load the updated driver and I continually receive the following error message: "The update is not applicable to your computer." I have a Dell Studio XPS, running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium version, Intel Core i7 processor, and I have version 1 of VHStoDVD. I had originally installed the software first and then tried the driver, however upon reading some of the knowledgebase articles I uninstalled the software, rebooted my machine and then tried to get my PC to recognize the USB and it will not. I then tried to install the updated driver (RoxioC2009USBCaptureDriver) but continued to receive the previous error message described above.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

I am having the same problem.

I'm trying to reinstall the drivers but they won't install.

I downloaded the zip file, ran setup and nothing happens.

I have V2D ver. 1.1.125 SP2 4.50.13a with Windows 7, Intel Core i7 CPU 950@3.07GHz, 6GB ram, 64-bit OS.

It says there are no updates available for V2D.

Any suggestion?

There's a reason why yours is not working in Windows 7. Click on the link in Post #2 of this thread.
