I have Roxio 2011 easy vhs to dvd. I do not have a double layer burner.

Jim asked 3 questions; you responded to one.

Did a easy VHS to DVD come with the Creator 2011? They are usually two different programs. Do a screen shot of the about page of what you have and post it here.

With a little help from this guy… post-39730-039724200 1312724386.jpg I think we have enough to go for it :D:lol:

Actually isn’t your box named Roxio Creator 2011 Special Edition??? and it looks like this:

And NOT like this:

(just trying to pin down which one you have, that way we can taylor the answers to your product :) )

Assuming the first one, take a look through this post ~ USB Capture. Completely skip the Install part and start reading at the Hookup & Capture part ;)

Once you have captured the file it is a simple matter of using the rest of the Suite, VideoWave (editor) and MyDVD (authoring) to burn your captured files.

Since you don’t have a DL Burner, plan on getting 1 hour to a 4.7 GB disc. You are only starting with VHS Quality, trying to pack more on a disc will degrade the video quality REAL FAST

Good idea to get a disc or 2 of DVD RW media to use while learning and for testing, since you can erase and reuse it ;)

Stupid ? No, necessary since you did not provide needed information. Please answer these questions and we can help.

At this point your computer information is most important.

Remember we are users like you -- with a bit more experience; we are not Roxio Technical support. You are welcome to call them and pay for the privilege of getting the same information we are giving you.

How do you know that your burner will not do DL? Please post the ID string for the burner.

For informational purposes: Analog tapes are inherently poor quality. Trying to squeeze 2 hours of video (of any quality) on a single layer disc requires the video to be compressed or downgraded. The quality will be CRAP !

If you really want to try, capture the video to your computer using "Plug and Burn"

BTW, that little device that you got with the program is the analog to digital converter. So your answer above should be YES.

Since we don't work for Roxio, we don't have to respond...

Best of luck! ;)

Get off your high horse :P Roxio probably doesn't want you.

Please re-read post #7 and provide answers. I gave you an answer there but you were too busy being a "kid".

Have you tried plug and burn if the program you have is the one shown above?
