Reinstalling Roxio Creator 2011

I had Roxio Creator 2011 on my computer from Dec. 24, 2010 until a few days ago. It was working fine during that time. Then, I opened VideoWave to edit a slideshow that I had made and the preview bar that is usually displayed below the slideshow pictures in the preview display was missing. Thus, I was unable to preview the slideshow as such. I did everything I could think of to get the preview bar to show up again. All the pictures and music seemed to be there, however.

So, I decided to uninstall the Roxio Creator 2011 from my computer and do a clean install to try to get the program working again. I deleted everything on my computer that had to do with "Roxio" or "Sonic". Then, I went to System Configuration and disabled the Startup Items and restarted. Next, I disabled the Windows Firewall and the antivirus program. After this, I inserted my Installation DVD and started the Run Setup.exe for Sonic Solutions. Everything seems to go fine until the actual install where the status box says "Installing DirectX 9 Runtime". The progress bar goes a short distance and flashes for about 30 seconds. Then, the box closes and the screen goes to a window that says "Roxio Creator 2011 Wizard was interrupted." And the only choice is to click on Finish.

I have been working on this for several hours and have attempted to install the program about five times and haven't been able to resolve this problem.

So, here I am needing your help which I'd greatly appreciate.

Below, I've included some information about my system.

Thank you.
