Nah its not a bad thing. I use virtualDub with the new DivX codec to capture and compress my video. Then I use a programme called Handbreak to compress it even more so the file size is smaller. So it will upload faster.

With Virtualdub you can capture without compressing the video.

The below video was captured with the Roxio software and then edited in CyberLink PowerDirector. After that it is upscaled to 720p and exported with H.264 AVC format. I can't remember the filesize as I done the below video last week, but its typically around 100MB per minute of video. So the below one would have been in the area of 600 to 700MB for a 6:45 video.

Captured my son playing.

Chopped it up to the action parts.

Added some of RGC's video effects.

White's are a bit too bright, and sound is loud.

Have not messed around too much with settings to resolve that yet.

Don't remember the file size.

Will post more later.

Video Effects test:

Negative (a.k.a. "Invert") at about 1:23

Relief (a.k.a. "Embossed") at about 2:01

and a few others I dropped in randomly.

Nice comparision. I have also noticed the video is a lot more blurry when capturing with the RGC software. People should just use Vdub or amerecTV instead.
