Fitting Tape To Dvd

4gone

Question

Using Record, Edit and Save mode, it is possible to reduce the file size using the Quality level, but how do you calculate the reduction ? Is it proportional to the data rate ? Other recorders have 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 etc hr. modes. Is Best Quality equivalent to 2 hr. mode. And where would 4 Hr mode correspond on the sliding scale ? Thank you.

Best Quality corresponds to 60 minutes of video. If your video is longer it has to be compressed and you lose quality. I would not even consider trying to squeeze 120 minutes of analog tape video on a 4.7GB DVD
