Cineplayer Default File Associations Can't Change

Bill R

Question

Running Win 7 with newly installed Creator 2012. When attempting to change the default file associations Cineplayer returns the following error message...."File associations not changed since you do not appear to have permission". The computer is not on a network and I have full admin control. Would appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Doesn't sound like it..

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts

What does it say about your user name?

Try this, open start all programs, Roxio Creator 2012, Applications, right click Cineplayer click run as administrator.

That solved the problem. Thank you very much. But I am puzzled.....I checked the permissions / security for the file "cineplayer.exe" and it show I had full admin control. Why would that not have worked. Just curious. And thanks again.
