Tivo Transfer

It might seem like a dumb question but I'll try anyway. I can't find any help on creating Auto Transfers. I have created them in the past but it never transferred them automatically.

I tried to find a Toast 11 User guide but can't find one at the moment. I might be having a memory loss, but do have a Toast 10 guide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Click on the name of your TiVo in the TiVo Transfer window. Click on a program that is part of a series. Click the Auto Transfer button at the bottom. This only works with TV series because the program title always has to have the same name.

What I would really like to see is a scheduled "Auto Convert" linked to auto transfers (or the Auto Transfer folder) - so for instance all my selected shows will not only transfer over - but also convert to the selected format I like and save into a destination folder of my own choosing.

 

That would be awesome! (Same applies to Auto Converting for EyeTV as well...though there may already be something for this).

There is an option in TiVo Transfer Preferences to automatically send to Toast. What happens is it initiates a Toast conversion to whatever setting you chose in the Video panel of Toast Preferences. The default is AppleTV Best but there are many other settings available. The default destination is iTunes but you can change that, too. Because of TiVo's license limitations the converted video cannot be larger than 640x480 in size.

I know exactly what you mean. I had a PC until 2 months ago and that was the exact way Tivo transfer for PC worked from TiVO.....it was seamless and very easy...it automatically converted and sent into itunes all automatically.......I am very disappointed with Toast and Toast is 3 times the cost of the TIVO premium transfer from TIVO....

I pointed out in my previous post that Toast (via TiVo Transfer) does automatically convert and send to iTunes automatically. What am I missing here?
