Videowave Has Stopped Working Error Message

vehipkiss

Question

I just purchased and installed the download version of Creator 2012. When I click on the Create DVD and select the type of DVD that I want to create the program crashes and tells me "VideoWave has stopped working." I have tried a few things suggested on various sites to fix this but nothing has worked so far. I've used other parts of 2012 (copying disks, creating labels) and they work great. What is this VideoWave and how can I fix it?

I'm running Vista 32 with all updates.

Instead of bringing up the "Create DVD" program, open up "Videowave". Did you produce a Videowave production ? If so did you save it as a name of your choice as a dmsm file ?

If so you can open up the "MYDVD" program now and import the Videowave dmsm file. Then edit or do what you want in MyDVD and then burn it to a DVD.

Roxio Teck Support has helped me solve the problem (after MANY emails).

The whole problem was because I was using a Windows Classic theme instead of a Windows Vista thteme!

As simple as that! The key to pinpointing this was when Roxio Tech Support had me create a new account and then run Creator 2012 through that.

Hope this helps someone.
