tsantee
I'm not sure what you're asking. You can copy content from DVDs and CDs to a hard drive by dragging the contents in the Finder from the discs to the destination. So you must be wanting something else to happen. If you are referring to a video DVD, it cannot be copy encrypted. As long as it isn't encrypted then you can drag the VIDEO_TS folder to a hard drive from the disc and play it by choosing Open DVD Media in the File menu of DVD Player. Or you can select the video DVD in the Toast Copy window, choose Save as Disc Image and select the destination. To play the disc image with DVD Player control-click on it in the Finder and choose Mount It from the contextual menu that appears. Are you asking about audio CDs? Toast's Convert window can extract the audio tracks from those and save them to any destination in a variety of formats, including uncompressed AIFF. If you wanted the tracks to remain connected rather than be saved individually, you can add them to the Toast Audio window with Audio CD selected as the format and choose Save as Disc Image. This combines them into a single .sd2f file that can be played like other audio files. If dragged by to Toast the .sd2f files displays the tracks individually in the window.
