Game Capture

I have recieved my roxio and i have hooked up correctly to my xbox and labtop and all the cords are in the right place. I installed the software and when i open the program the capture screen wont let me do anything it wont recognize the source, it wont let me change the settings or options. I have no input signal and status says no signal and the preview screen on the right is blank and all the options i can push are highlighted in gray meaning i cant go through any of them if anyone knows how to fix this please respond asap Thank you.

This happened to me and it took me a while to get it, but if I remember this is what I did: Turn on the system after you've plugged in the USB and booted up Roxio
