Roxio Game Capture Software

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I lost my installation CD AND my CD-key. it seems that Roxio DOES NOT offer a replacement capture software even if you pay for it, which I will happily do. I basically have the capture card itself but no recording software and I don't know what to do I'm very sad about it and I'm thinking about quitting and just getting an HD PVR since I am getting no support from Roxio. If any of you could please help I would appreciate it soooooooooo much.

Did you register your software at the Roxio site? Contact Digital River to see what they will do you you. I'm not sure how you will prove you bought the software; just having a digital capture device won't do it.

 

Don't you already have it on your computer? I guess you did not make a back up of the disc or of your computer's hard drive when it was installed.

What happened was that I had to restore my computer but I neglected to back up my Roxio Software so it was deleted off the computer upon restoring. I did NOT register the product therefore cannot receive and help /: . I will try to contact Digitial River to see if they can provide the software without me providing proof of purchase and buying it from them instead. I promise that I bought the product directly from Roxio Online Store but I just made the foolish mistake of not registering. I Really don't care for the editing software they provide since it seems mediocre compared to some other video editing software that I know of (Sony Vegas, After Effects, ect). BUT I still need to the recording software because I cannot find a good one that will capture video at a good quality. Thanks for the reply! Do you know any good programs that I could use the record with Roxio Game Cap if I fail to get a copy of the original capture software? I've tried Virtual Dub and the quality is very good but my audio is ALWAYS out of sync. I've heard that you could use VLC Media player but I don't know how to set it
