.toast Files Is Unsupported Format?

Question

It won't open .toast files?

Am I crazy or is that correct?

"xxxxxx.toast" is in an unsupported format and cannot be imported.

It can't open its own file that it created?

Huh?

That needs to be mounted using the Image File setting in the Toast Copy window. It also can be mounted using the Mount It contextual menu in the Finder.

Okay, Thanks, I got that, so how do I then convert it to another format?

[EDIT: I figured it out, but the interface is really a poorly designed gui; reminds me of the msdos graphic interface. Hide everything in plain sight.]

If you're wanting convert an existing video or audio file that's inside the .toast file, just choose Image File in the Convert window and select the .toast file. From there you should be able to proceed with your conversion. I don't know what's inside the .toast file (it could be almost anything) but if it is a VIDEO_TS folder then selecting it with the Image File setting should get your started.
