Bluray From Fcp 720

Question

I'm trying to create a BluRay with a FCP project whose timeline is DVCProHD 720. When using a reference movie in Toast 10, the playback looks bad. In my workarounds, I tried using a .mov created in After Effects as an animation movie of 1280x720. "Could not record the disc because there is a problem with the source material. Result Code= 118771."

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

I'm sorry but I have no experience with those codecs, but I'm wondering what result you'd get if you chose to export as h.264 from FCP and then set Toast's encoder to MPEG-4. You could test this with a short clip so it doesn't take much time to encode. If you choose Save as Disc Image you can mount the disc image and bore down to the mts file to preview it.
