Sonic Boom
You are running into this issue which is a bug that we are aware of and fixing in next release http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/76954-error-1320-when-installing-roxio-content-2012/ To address this you'll need to create the following folders because you have them mapped to a different drive C:\Users\<user_account_you_are_using>\Music C:\Users\<user_account_you_are_using>\Pictures C:\Users\<user_account_you_are_using>\Videos
cdanteek
Thanks.. I tried changing permissions, but the installation failed again. It appears to install almost completely, but then rolls back everything. It would nice if a person could choose what software to install. This way if one program were causing a problem, it could be avoided and the remainder installed. I don't want to spend any more time with this software installation. I need to move on. Thanks again.... TJMCD Might as well close this post then. Good luck!
Martin Dekker
I had this issue when I had some left overs from earlier installations in My Pictures and My Videos called "Roxio 3d Examples" (or something equivelant as I'm translating this now on the fly from Dutch to English). One of these folders could not be removed even manually without taking ownership and adding the correct access rights. (BTW Creating a new account would probably have solved this as well) Martin

If that works, you can simply delete the account later and allow All Users access the Suite when deleting the account
TJMCD
Same issue. Try Post #8 here http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/76954-error-1320-when-installing-roxio-content-2012/page__view__findpost__p__385929 Also could be a permissions issue with your user account. TJMCD
Try deleting this folder F:\My Music\Triple Scoop Music When I view the F:\My Music folder, there is no sub-folder or file with the name of Triple Scoop Music. I renamed the F:\My Music folder to F:\My Music-Original. I did this to see if a F:\My Music folder would be created by the Creator software and also to make sure there was no possibility for the Creator install to find a F:\My Music folder. I have attached the EMC_13X_Install.log file. I searched and found F:\My Music text at line 5189. Also the file (sonic_setup.log ) has the same error code found previously at line 720. Action InstallActions.EMC_13X.Install failed with exit code 1603. Installation failed with error code 1603 TJMCD

TJMCD
Can you attach EMC_13X_Install.log? May need to zip it up. The EMC_13X_Install.log and EMC_13X_Uninstall.log are in the zip file. Thanks TJMCD

TJMCD
In sonic_setup.log you can find at what point the install fails. And yep, I meant Product Key. Be sure it's not in any file you post here. I've left you a PM as well. Martin Thanks Martin, It was helpful to know what file (sonic_setup.log ) to examine to find the error code. This is the error code that I found at line 720. Action InstallActions.EMC_13X.Install failed with exit code 1603. Installation failed with error code 1603 My computer is Windows 7 64bit. Martin Dekker
Is the Install Key that same as the Product Key? Do I need to do a search in each file for the Product Key? Also, there are 15 log files for each attempt to install Creator 2012. Would you like each one? In sonic_setup.log you can find at what point the install fails. And yep, I meant Product Key. TJMCD
Attach your install logs so we can try to figure out where in the install process it stops and rolls back. Just be sure to remove your install key from the text in the logfiles. Is the Install Key that same as the Product Key? Do I need to do a search in each file for the Product Key?
