What happens when you drag the .mts file into the Toast window? I've tested ones that work fine that way.

In Toast media browser under movies I see final cut pro folders but no video shows. With iMovie no problem. I don't want to use iMovie. Final Cut Pro has more to offer by editing the clips or projects. Draging over from event library or project events from Final Cut Pro just slides back out of Toast 11.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to add a FCP project to Toast. You need to export it from FCP first.

Here is my link for what I'm trying to do take a look.

My link

Thanks for sharing that. I don't have FCP so I wasn't aware that the Toast Media Browser lists the Final Cut events in the Video tab. That does imply that the browser can access your FCP projects directly although I've always understood that Toast does not do this. I'm not surprised that you can't drag video directly from FCP into Toast. Similarly you can't drag audio tracks from iTunes into Toast. You only can drag playlists from the playlist bar.

If you haven't visited www.kenstone.net I suggest going there to possibly learn what are considered the best practices for what you're trying to do.
