Roxio Editing Software Downgrades Video Quality

rythm713

Question

When I record something initially, the quality is usually very decent and looks to be true 480p. Yet after I use the editing software that came with roxio, despite using many different types of render settings, it usually turns out to be the same blurred text. This does not seem to be a problem with the capture card, more so the software, does anybody have a potential fix?

In addition, there are times when the audio from recording will add a lot of gain to it and will become very scratchy, when this happens re installing the software does the trick, but it seems to be happening more and more frequently, this is a very bothersome problem that seems to be tied to updating my computer. Any help is appreciated, cheers!

Hi rythm713,

Easy to solve this:

Capture with: Cauptain Ultimate Capture Tutorial

On RGC software editor, export using DIVX 720p@30 for best quality.

Thank you for advice on the capturing software, but I am still having an issue with the quality of rendered videos, even using the highest quality setting, the one recommended to me, the video seems to be blurred after being rendered in video wave, is there a fix for this?

After Rendering (In highest quality)

Also, I setup the software you recommended but it still makes the audio grainy, is there are fix for this as well as a way to reduce the color blur that I'm seeing (yellow text has a bluish glow)

No fix to videowave export videos. Sorry.

I use other software to edit and render due limitations on VideoWave.

In AMARECTV on PRESET TAB, MENU you can config audio and video devices.
